Aulestad
The home to Karoline and Bjørnestjerne Bjørnson. Bjørnestjerne Bjørnson is the writer of the norwegian national song and Nobel price-winner in litterature
in 1903. He lived in Gausdal from year 1875 untill his death in 1910.
The farm is located between Skeikampen and Lillehammer. It is open in the summer season for visitors.
Karoline Bjørnson made the home Aulestad personal and gave it a feeling of homeliness. Today you are very welcome to visit this special place with its nice atmosphere from the 1800s.
Aulestad is open from 18th of May - end of September each summer.
Everyone is welcome to join the story tellers and guides. Tour for all ages.
Cafeteria is open, serving the famous blueberry panckakes.
