The potholes are called "Helvete" (hell) and are some of the most amazing geological formations in Norway. It is possible to trace those giant potholes back to the end of the last Ice Age about 10 000 years ago. Several cultural activities is also offered at the site, such as concerts, theatre and walks down into the local mine.

The cafeteria serves fresh made waffles, porridge with sour cream, cured meats, hotdogs, and pizzas.
